Last.fm / audioscrobbler Breaks

It is a wonderful service that last.fm provides, but recently MS Media Player 10 can't handle the plug-in without locking up the computer. I'm seriously vexed by this; first, Outlook quits working, then, other issues appear. Hope to work all this out soon. I'm suspicious that Microsoft is behind undermining anything Opensource or file-sharing in nature. It defeats their marketing and sales efforts; they have to destroy it.
