This is the supreme intro album of the late seventies, early eighties New Wave movement. The B-52's had so much uniqueness. This is the album for me that defines an era when New Wave, truly was counter-culture. The album has a strong blend of keyboards, three-chord guitar played at rapid pace, and two young chicks, singing their asses off in perfect harmony. The sound is hard to define - for me, it has a modern-retro kinda sound; like something the Jetsons would listen, or surfers in the sixties. It's a partyband. In a new-wavish way.
